First Saturday Lime sets itself apart from other types of lime by being both effective and safe in its uses. Garden lime (also known as “dolomitic” “quarry” or “barn” lime) is often safe, but is diluted and difficult to be effective. Meanwhile, hydrated lime is often very effective, but is so strong that it can be caustic and harmful to skin and mucous membranes. First Saturday Lime is made with a patent pending process that makes sure it’s not only safe and effective, but also insoluble and able to dry out to get back to work after a rainy day.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered my First Saturday Lime. I absolutely love it! I use it in my chicken coop and the chicken yard and even around the house. The coup is always fresh with the First Saturday Lime. I use it in the nesting boxes as well. It’s so convenient to use the even include a scoop in each bag they send!

I use FSL in my chicken coop to help control mites and odor. This product works amazingly on both.
By using this FSL, I no longer have mites and insects in my coop or on my hens, and the odor is reduced to a minimum.
I also use it around the outside of my house to control insects.
