To use First Saturday Lime safely...
This is incredibly important. We stand behind our product 100% and want to be sure you get your desired results. To do so it’s important that you use it correctly. Importantly:
- do NOT inhale over long periods of time without using a protective mask
- do NOT “dump” large amounts of the product directly to anything – be sure to spread or dilute based on your needs and desired results.
- do NOT use in your home
- do NOT ingest – this is not for consumption
- do NOT use if irritation occurs

is a PROTECTION against pests including
Our product can be used on any insects with an exoskeleton. This includes but not limited to ants, fleas, ticks, mites, lice, aphids, beetles, etc. It also can be used to prevent mosquito growth in water troughs and ponds. Also, many bee farms use our product to prevent small hive beetles.
is NOT "food-grade" or intended for direct consumption
In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration has affirmed calcium carbonate to be GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe). For ethical reasons, we have purposefully avoided testing First Saturday Lime on animals or humans. As a result, our formula is not “food-grade” or intended for consumption. We realize that animals may ingest some if they have it in their water – and as anecdotal evidence and the FDA supports, in small amounts, this is okay. However, we wouldn’t recommend leaving a bowl of it out to be eaten. There are years of anecdotal evidence that supports this practice. We’ve taken the extra step to get our lime tested to ensure we exceed purity requirements to deliver the most effective lime that’s safe for your family, gardens, ponds, pets and animals.
